I take a person-centered, collaborative approach, meeting you where you’re at and tailoring each session to your goals. I draw from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Somatic Experiencing (SE) to help you build long-term skills for navigating emotions, stress, and life’s challenges. I also consider factors like sleep, movement, and overall lifestyle when relevant. My aim is to offer a grounded, supportive space where you feel understood and leave with tools that genuinely help.

Hello, I’m Amanda Skwarok, a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). In accordance with CAP’s Standards of Practice and Standards for Supervision, I provide services under the supervision of Stephanie David, Registered Psychologist.

I support youth, young adults, women, and parents as they navigate anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness- and somatic-informed practices. These methods go beyond talk therapy, offering practical tools to develop long-term skills for emotional regulation, self-understanding, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.

Am I the Right Fit?

I am not currently the best fit for crisis support, trauma-focused therapy, ADHD assessment or treatment, or highly specialized clinical care.

My focus is on individuals who are functioning day-to-day but seeking support to manage anxiety, stress, relationships, and life transitions all while building practical, sustainable skills for growth and well-being.
